Ben Affleck And Matt Damon Reunite For Movie About The Creation Of Air Jordans
Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are back together in theaters, on screen and beyond. The couple, who achieved their first theatrical success thanks to an Oscar-winning screenplay, have teamed up for their new film, Air, which opens in theaters on April 5.
Air Nike talks about how they create their flagship shoe: the Air Jordan. While it's hard to imagine a world without these sneakers, it wasn't until 1984 that some desperate entrepreneurs hired Michael Jordan to promote a new basketball shoe.
“This remarkable story tells the life-changing career of an extraordinary team in which everything is at stake, the unwavering vision of a mother appreciating the value of her son’s great talent, and a basketball phenomenon who became the world’s greatest player.” Always,” says the short version of the film.
In addition to starring in the film, Affleck and Damon played key roles in its production. Waters will become the duo's new production company, and it will be the first film released by Artists Equity.
"Matt and I are very excited and proud that viewers will see it live because this is the first release from Artists Equity," Affleck said in a January press release published by Variety. "It was the best creative and personal experience of our lives and we look forward to more."
Afilek also directed the film.
Viola Davis, who recently received EGOT status for her 2023 Grammy win, plays Delaris Jordan, Michael's mother and protector of her son's career and reputation.
The full trailer for the movie has surfaced online, and it looks like Affleck and Damon still have great chemistry and an on-screen comedic moment.
According to Vanity Fair, Air will hit theaters on April 5 and be available on Amazon Prime after that theatrical release.
